Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Carry. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Carry mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account, downloading, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any changes.

Description of Service

Carry is a shared household management application designed for couples. The Service allows paired users to collaboratively manage tasks, shopping lists, events, and household activities in real-time. Features include voice input, smart categorization, activity tracking, and partner notifications.

Account Registration

To use Carry, you must create an account. By registering, you agree to:

  • Be at least 17 years of age
  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

Household Pairing

Carry allows you to pair your account with one partner to create a shared household. By pairing with another user, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • All household data (tasks, shopping items, events, notes) will be visible to and editable by both paired users
  • You consent to sharing this information with your paired partner
  • You are responsible for ensuring you have permission to share any information you add to the household
  • Either partner may unpair at any time, which will end data sharing between accounts

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal activity or to violate any laws
  • Share, distribute, or use another person\'s invite code without their explicit consent
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or computer systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers or networks connected to the Service
  • Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm another person
  • Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or any other malicious code
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Use automated systems or bots to access the Service

Subscriptions and Payments

Carry offers both free and premium subscription tiers. Premium subscriptions are managed through RevenueCat and processed via Apple\'s App Store.

Subscription Plans: We offer monthly and annual subscription plans. Pricing is displayed in the app and may vary by region.

Billing: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple App Store account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods.

Free Trial: If we offer a free trial, you will be charged when the trial period ends unless you cancel before the trial expires. Terms of the free trial will be specified at the time of sign-up.

Free Tier Limitations

The free tier of Carry includes basic household management features with certain limitations, which may include restrictions on the number of active tasks, shopping items, or access to premium features such as advanced voice input, compliments, or extended activity history. Free tier limitations are subject to change and will be communicated within the app.

Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, features, branding, and all related intellectual property, is owned by Carry and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our express written permission.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We make no guarantees regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any content or data provided through the Service.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CARRY AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND LICENSORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM:

  • Your use or inability to use the Service
  • Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers or any personal information stored therein
  • Any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from the Service
  • Any bugs, viruses, or other harmful code transmitted through the Service
  • Any errors or omissions in any content or data

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.

Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or through an in-app notice at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
